In January 2015 the ‘RoyRak Creative’ was launched. Building on the amazing 10 year legacy of Klong Toey Handicrafts, the RoyRak Creative are a small group of women from the Klong Toey community who are designing and making jewellery to sell in Thailand and around the world. RoyRak is excited about the strengthening relationship with our sister project ‘Second Chance Bangkok, Upcycled Wares’. While both projects are fairtrade and strive to provide extra benefits to improve quality of life for each of the workers, universally the women agree that the reason they love coming to work each day is that they have found a family in which to belong, to be heard, respected and valued.
Working closely together is a real joy and made even easier by the new appointment of Eva MacCartney, who will be our Australia Sales and Volunteers Coordinator for both initiatives.
