Devotion 3
Wait: Take time to sit in the silence of thanksgiving together, aware of God’s loving kindness toward us.
Read: Ephesians 1:3-14
“The suspense of this announcement—“when the time is full”[v10]—has all the drama of Jesus’ inaugural proclamation in Mark 1:15 (there the Greek phrase is similar, peplērōtai ho kairos). there it was the imminence of the Kingdom of God; here it is God’s desire and intention to reunify everything that has been alienated—to overcome all division, to bring all beings back into communion, to heal every wound.”1
Ask:
- Where do you see alienation in your neighbourhood?
- What dreams do you have of seeing alienation and division overcome?
- How might you be a part of these dreams?
Share: Communion
Pray:
- Share in a time of prayer
- End with the Lord’s prayer
