This blog is entitle ‘future-hope’ because I believe we can detect our future from the hope we can see today. We have big dreams to live lives that are good and make a difference for Christ among the urban poor. So I wanted a place to reflect and identify sources of hope that I experience both in urban neighbourhoods on my travels. Leslie Newbeggin once said, ‘mission is hope in action’ and I wanted to highlight these actions and inspire us forward to see God’s will done in urban neighbourhoods as in heaven.

I am a member of Valley view Christian Church in Dallas, my husband, Kenneth and I are about to leave for Thailand(thurs.1st of Jan), going on a one week mission trip to Chiang Mai and the two weeks visiting our daughter in Bangkok(works for the State Dept.). We want to come see you if possible and see first hand what is going on in your part of Bangkok. Would this be possible? Awaiting word from you.

I love the way that God works, he brings people across our path everyday that gives us opportunities to talk about people in poverty & ways that we can help. I am amazed at when you start talking with people about life how they open up about what they are actually also doing to help people in need. One day I found out that at least 3 or 4 people I spoke to either sponsor children in other countries or who foster children. It is a privilege to be involved with you guys.
