Colleen and Brad Coath
Broadmeadows
Colleen and Brad Coath live and work in Broadmeadows, in the north-west of Melbourne/Naarm, a part of Wurundjeri Country, and one of Melbourne’s most culturally diverse areas. They have two teenage sons, Sam and Hudson.
Colleen creates spaces of welcome and learning. She values connection, dignity, and wholeness. Her passions are living sustainably, cooking and working alongside other women.
Some activities she is involved with are:
- English language learning
- Cooking, gardening and food handling with adults and children
- Women’s catering group
- Local community garden
- Support for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers
- Local climate action
Brad is passionate about the wellbeing of the neighbourhood and the people in it and expresses this (or at least tries to!) by nurturing care, connection, creativity, and critical thinking amongst the local community. He spends much of his time engaged in chaplaincy work in the local primary school, working with young people in activities such as music, gardening, and sport.
